Sony DSC-W1 - Page 2
February 28, 2005

All 100% cropped images have been given some sharpening, the Sony a modest amount, while the Nikon shots had heavy sharpening, as they were converted to JPEG from RAW. The Sony's noise performance was as expected for a little digicamand while the details do not match the D100 (don't forget the obvious image file size going from 5 MP 6 MP), the Sony was not too bad. However, I was using a consumer quality 24-85mm lens on the D100, and I'd expect even more details from the D100 chip if I had used a pro-calibre lens such as the 70-200mm VR lens.
